The black Pixel Watch model will feature a matte finish
Google Taiwan YouTube channel confirmed that the black Pixel Watch variant features a “matte black stainless steel case”. What’s odd is that it won’t be available everywhere, it seems, and black models usually are. It won’t be available in Taiwan, for example. Chances are it will be on sale in both Europe and the US, though.
It was also added that “Obsidian Black Sport Strap and the Lemongrass Green Sport Strap are only available on select channels”. Speaking of colors, Chalk, Charcoal, and Coral straps are also expected. The video that shared all this info is embedded below the article. It does show the Pixel Watch from various angles as well, in case you’d like to take another look at it. We’ve seen a ton of Pixel Watch content in the last couple of weeks. Even its retail box surfaced quite recently, revealing Fitbit branding. As most of you know by now, Fitbit is now Google’s company.
It will become official on October 6
The Pixel Watch is set to launch on October 6. That’s when the company’s Pixel event is taking place. This smartwatch will launch alongside the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, and some other products. The Pixel Watch will become the company’s very first (Pixel) smartwatch, actually. We never got a Nexus smartwatch, and the same is the case for the Pixel lineup. The time is here, though. This smartwatch, as you can see in the provided video, is not that large. It will actually look quite petite on thicker wrists, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It will be perfect for women and people with thinner wrists. We already have a ton of gigantic smartwatches out there, so… there you have it. Do note that the Pixel Watch is tipped to ship to consumers in early November, unlike the Pixel 7 series, which will ship in October.
