The blog post announcing the new game, which doesn’t offer up much in terms of details, also serves as a means for hiring people to the team. Blizzard has a number of open roles that it’s looking for. Including an Environment Artist, Technical Artist, VFX Artist, Level Designer, Software Engineers and more. So if you’re looking for a job in game development, you might want to check out the open spots Blizzard is looking to fill.

The Blizzard survival game has no title

Currently Blizzard doesn’t have an official title for this new game. At least, not one which it’s willing to share publicly. It could very well have a codename for the project that it uses internally. There’s also not a lot of information about the game itself and what it will be like. Although, Blizzard does mention a few key details to get the mind wondering. According to the studio, its new survival game will be available for PC and console. Perhaps there will be cross-save involved like with Diablo II: Resurrected. Or maybe even cross-play. Additionally, Blizzard says that this new universe it’s creating is “a place full of heroes we have yet to meet, stories yet to be told, and adventures yet to be lived. A vast realm of possibility, waiting to be explored.” That snippet doesn’t allude to much. But it does tell players that this game will more than likely be a huge open-world game that has many things to discover. There’s also two images that contain what is likely a little bit of concept art. So it may or may not end up in the final game. Which, by the way is no doubt years down the road. The announcement follows a reveal earlier this month that Microsoft has agreed to acquire Activision Blizzard for nearly $69 billion. Which will lead to some Activision Blizzard games coming to Xbox Game Pass.
