July 2022 Play System Update offers a new API that will help developers

General bug fixes, performance optimizations, bug fixes, and other stability, security, and accessibility improvements are also part of the latest update.

The Data & Privacy redesign, Wallet rebrand, etc. is rolling out to users with Google Play services v22.22

The update also adds the ability to filter the data plans available for your carrier. Google Wallet gets the Material You redesign, which was introduced with Android 12. New developer features are also a part of the update. The update adds new developer features for Google and third-party app developers are also getting Maps-related developer services in apps. The official update support page notes that the Data & Privacy redesign, Google Wallet Material You rebranding, and data plan filters feature will arrive with Google Play services v22.22 to users. Further, the Play Store improvements and other changes will start rolling out to the users with Google Play Store v31.1. Maps-related developer services to third-party apps will begin rolling out with Google Play services v22.26. Google Play System update is available for smartphones, tablets, Android TV, and Google TV devices. It’s also available for Android Auto-enabled vehicles, Wear OS devices, and Chrome OS devices. In order to update Play Store, simply tap on your profile and navigate to Settings > About, and hit the Update Play Store option. The update is actively rolling out to users, a little later than usual.
