This procedure is quite easy. Before we start, however, do note that there’s a difference between a TikTok name and a TikTok username. You can change both, but they’re used differently. The username is basically what comes attached to the ‘@’ symbol, while the name doesn’t have to follow any special formatting. You simply type in your first and last name, and you’re good to go. How to change your TikTok name
The first thing you need to do is open your TikTok app, of course. On top of that, make sure you’re logged in. Once the homepage opens, tap on the ‘Profile’ icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Once your profile opens, you’ll see the ‘Edit profile’ button below your ‘Following’ and ‘Followers’ counts. Get to that menu.
On the next page, you’ll be able to edit various aspects of your profile. One of those aspects is your ‘Name’, which is located right above the ‘Username’ we talked about earlier. Tap on the name that is currently set.
In the next menu, a keyboard will automatically open, and you’ll be able to edit your TikTok name. Delete the one that is currently set, and choose another one.
Once you’re done with that step, you’ll see the ‘Save’ option in the top-right corner. That option is now clickable. So, if you’re happy with the name you chose, simply tap ‘Save’ and you’re good to go.
There you have it, you’ve changed your TikTok name. This process could not have been more straightforward. There also doesn’t seem to be any limitation when it comes to changing this, but TikTok may pop up a warning if you do it often, we’re not sure. It would be best if you chose a name you feel comfortable with, and be done with it.
