The Galaxy SmartTag+ is discounted from $39.99 to $29.99. So you’ll be saving $10. That’s not a huge amount of money on its own, but do keep in mind this is not a smartphone or a TV we’re talking about here. The point is, you can save up. Smart tags aka smart trackers managed to become quite popular in the last couple of years. The Galaxy SmartTag+ is a really capable iteration of one such product. So, how does it work? Well, it’s supposed to help you keep track of your possessions. You can, for example, place one inside or on your backpack, attach it to your keys, and so on. You can even attach it to your dog’s collar, if you want.
It has more than a decent range
This smart tag supports an ultra-wideband (UWB) profile which gives this tracker a range of about 15m, while the Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0 adds 120 meters on top of that. That’s quite a bit of range. Do note that you don’t really have to change this battery frequently, it actually lasts a long time, which is a huge plus. It’s surely a neat way to keep track of your stuff, and make sure you can find something even if it’s not in your close proximity. You can simply use your phone to ping a tracker, while this device is also water resistant, which is great. You won’t have to think about the rain or anything of the sort.
