The ongoing Android 12 beta program will give people early access to features
With all the changes to Android with Android 12, all the changes to the Pixel line with the Pixel 6, and now this, it seems that 2021 is a year of change for Google. Usually, after the stable software version launches, the beta program ends, but Google decided to keep it going. If you stay enrolled in the program, you will start receiving pre-release features before they’re released to the public. Just like with the betas before, you’ll test out the features and report the bugs to the company. There will also be bug fixes and performance and stability improvements. This seems like it will be a good move on the company’s part. An ongoing Android 12 beta will help the company release better and more stable updates.
If you don’t want to be in the program, you’ll need to exit fast!
Understandably, not everyone will want to be in the ongoing beta program to test out Android 12 features. In this case, you can simply opt out of the program. You can exit the beta program and keep all of your data if you do so before the next beta version launches in December. If you don’t exit before the December deadline, you will be out of luck. Exiting the program after the next update drops will cost you all of your data. If you don’t want to be in the program anymore, you have a limited window to do so.
